Understand what you already have.
A meaningful performance review considers cash flows and timing. A fund return alone does not describe a policyholder’s net outcome.

Why a fund return is not your personal net return.
A plan can show positive underlying fund performance while the overall policyholder experience is different. Timing of contributions, withdrawals, currency movements and different layers of charges can all affect the result.
Start with the cash flows
Gather dated premiums, top-ups and withdrawals alongside the current valuation. Comparing only the starting and ending balances may confuse new contributions with investment growth.
Separate the layers of cost
Look for fund-level expenses, policy administration charges, any investment platform costs and advisory charges. Verify which amounts are actually charged to your contract.
Ask for an appropriate comparison
Consider net performance over a meaningful period and a benchmark consistent with the portfolio's risk and asset allocation. A comparison with an all-equity index can be misleading for a mixed-asset portfolio.

Before you make a decision.
Can my existing plan be reviewed without closing it?
Often, yes. Reviewing the documents, valuation, charges and holdings does not require terminating a plan. Available servicing options depend on your provider and policy.
Does changing an adviser mean changing the investment provider?
Not necessarily. Adviser servicing arrangements and transferring or surrendering a policy are different actions. The provider’s rules and account conditions determine what is possible.
Can you tell me exactly how much my plan costs?
Only once the precise product, issue date, policy terms and relevant statements are known. Generic fees shown online might not apply to your contract.
Are you part of the providers mentioned on this website?
Provider names describe the plans that visitors may already hold. This website is not an official provider portal and does not imply an endorsement by any provider.
